2024 Nissan Rogue Review: Design, Specs, and Pricing

If there’s one thing that distinguishes the 2024 Nissan Rogue, it’s its incredible comfort. It additionally has an easy ride, but it also has some of the most comfortable seats to ever cushion our backsides. The interior of the Rogue is also extremely impressive, with appealing materials and cutting-edge technology.

The top two trims have a massive 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Google-based software, and every model has a plethora of driver assistance features. The Rogue, which is powered by a 201-hp turbo three-cylinder engine, attempts to strike a compromise between quick acceleration and good fuel economy. Unfortunately, the results are mixed, which isn’t helped by the fact that driving the two-row truck is a chore. Despite its unassuming appearance, the 2024 Rogue will please anyone seeking a drama-free ride from a stylish small SUV.

What’s New for 2024?

Nissan updates its compact SUV, the Rogue, for the 2024 model year, with a shinier grille, new wheels, and a reworked rear bumper. Inside, there are a few small changes, but the most notable addition is a 12.3-inch touchscreen. It merely replaces the previous 9.0-inch unit on SL and Platinum versions, but it also introduces a Google-based infotainment system and accompanying apps. Nissan Connect services now have a three-year trial term, an increase from the prior six months.

2024 Nissan Rogue Pricing

The 2024 Nissan Rogue starts at $29,685 and may go up to $39,965 depending on trim and extras. The mid-level SV model provides the most value for money. It gains 18-inch aluminum wheels, an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, a 360-degree exterior camera system, and Nissan’s ProPilot Assist semi-autonomous driving mode. We’d also add the SV Premium package, which includes a panoramic sunroof, power-operated rear liftgate, roof rails, and faux-leather upholstery.

The inside of the 2024 Rogue is inspired by both the Altima family car and the Sentra compact sedan. Rich-looking design details such as thoughtful storage compartments, a bi-level dashboard, and a squared-off shift knob boost practicality and add a modern flair to the interior. Cloth upholstery is normal, although the midlevel SV model can be ordered with optional faux-leather upholstery; the expensive SL and Platinum Rogues come with genuine leather, the latter being a semi-aniline hide with quilted stitching. Automatic three-zone climate control, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel are all options.

All Rogues have been powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder with 201 horsepower from 2022. The inline-three is paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) and front-wheel drive; all-wheel drive is available as an option. We noticed the turbocharged three-cylinder Rogue seemed more lively than prior iterations, which were powered by a non-turbo 2.5-liter four-cylinder.

2024 Nissan Rogue Interior

However, on our test track, its acceleration was not noticeably faster than the 2021 with the 2.5-liter four-cylinder. The turbocharged three-cylinder engine manages to propel the Rogue to 60 mph in 7.8 seconds, barely 0.4 seconds faster than the 2021 model. On the road, the Rogue provides a comfortable ride that’s suitable for commuting and road trips, but its casual approach to cornering hasn’t won any lovers among our editors.

2024 Nissan Rogue Fuel Efficiency

The Rogue’s turbocharged three-cylinder engine is rated for up to 30 mpg city and 37 mpg highway. Installing all-wheel drive lowers those predictions to 28 mpg city and 35 mpg highway, and the top-spec Platinum trim lowers the highway statistic even more to 34 mpg. Our all-wheel-drive Platinum test vehicle returned a disappointing 31 mpg on our 75-mph interstate fuel economy┬ároute.

Infotainment and Connectivity

A touchscreen multimedia system stands tall on the dashboard. While the Rogue comes standard with an 8.0-inch screen, the SL and Platinum variants get a larger 12.3-inch screen with Google-based software. It’s the first Nissan with built-in Google, which features a slew of apps and a slicker UI than the conventional system. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also standard, and premium features like in-dash navigation and a Bose music system are available as options. The SL and Platinum variants come standard with a 12.3-inch configurable digital gauge cluster. In addition, the Rogue has a big 10.8-inch head-up display and a wireless smartphone charging station.
