Mercedes claims that a number of interior facilities take inspiration from the Maybach GLS and S-Class, showing that the GLE is not only tough. A redesigned steering wheel with sensor surfaces that control the driver and a central display is one of them. Both the MANUFAKTUR Piano Black Flowing Lines trim material, previously available exclusively on the Maybach GLS, and the chrome finish on the center and side air vents are now available on the GLE. The SUV now comes with a choice of Catalana Beige and Bahia Brown interior colors.

2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe Engine

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE 350 de 4MATIC will be powered by a 2.0 liter diesel engine which, when combined with its electric motor, will produce 194 hp (145 kW/197 PS), while the GLE 400e will produce 248 hp (185 kW/ 252 hp) in Europe. The automaker’s 48-volt mild hybrid system, which will be added to the 2.0-liter and 3.0-liter diesel engines in Europe, will partially electrify all of the GLE’s powertrains. They produce 266 horsepower (198 kW/269 PS) and 362 hp (270 kW/367 PS) respectively, and are known as the GLE 300 d 4MATIC and GLE 450 d 4MATIC.

A 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 255 hp (190 kW/259 PS) in the GLE 350, a 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine producing 375 hp (280 kW/380 PS) in the GLE 450, and a 4.0-liter V8 engine producing 510 hp (380 kW/517 PS) on the GLE 580 will all be equipped with Mercedes’ mild hybrid technology.

Mercedes-Benz GLE Safety and Driver Assistance

An “Off-Road Engineering Package” will also be available for the final model, the GLE 580 4MATIC. Additional underbody protection gives the SUV 1.2 inches more ground clearance when combined with the optional air suspension. Additionally, the infotainment system will have an off-road mode that provides the driver with data on turning angle, tilt and cardinal direction. The “transparent hood” vision, made possible by the integration of a 360-degree camera system, offers drivers a clearer perspective of the landscape around them.
